New exhibits during Lehigh River Days!

During the weekend of Lehigh River Days, you'll want to check out the new exhibits at the Lehigh Historical Society. The museum will be open on Saturday, June 16th. There will be a special Mining exhibit with photos and memorabilia that will highlight the coal mine industry that once flourished in Lehigh. The recently donated flags and other items for the Lehigh VFW post will all be on display. A "surprise" exhibit will be some vintage Lehigh Boy Scout memorabilia that was recently discovered. You will have to visit the museum to find out where it was found (I'll come back and tell you after the River Days celebration is over). Plus, there are many new pictures of Lehigh buildings and activities that have been recently donated. And there is a quilt raffle!! So many great things to see and do! You'll find the museum open when the parade ends and will remain open until 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon or until the last visitor leaves!!
To get you in the mood for the weekend of fun, here are some photos that I took at the River Days parade in 2009 when I was home to Lehigh for a visit ..........
